ANALISIS SWOT IFAS-EFAS UNTUK STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN HUTAN WAE BOBOK SEBAGAI OBJEK PARIWISATA BERKELANJUTAN DI MANGGARAI BARAT

Abstract

The development of tourism in Labuan Bajo requires expansion and diversification of tourism products to maximize the available potential. Wae Bobok Forest is a tourism object located in West Manggarai Regency. This area has tourism supporting facilities such as food stalls, camping sites, and outbound rides. However, this area does not yet have a comprehensive development strategy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to design a strategy for developing the Wae Bobok Forest as an object of sustainable tourism. Data collection techniques using observation techniques and also interviews with visitors and local residents. The collected data were analyzed by SWOT analysis and gave the weighting of these factors in the IFAS-EFAS matrix. The results of the analysis show that Wae Bobok Forest is in a SO (Strength Opportunity) situation, which can be interpreted as an aggressive strategy is the right strategy to be applied in developing Wae Bobok Forest as a sustainable tourism object.
